onda did nothing - as ever - this is just part of the overall development, for some reason, according to Chinese member SNT, CC have "fallen out" with a few customers hence the unfinished VX454 beta firmware (of which this is based) and no one else getting update - apart from Gemei who are somehow linked to part of the CC family - if you look at the new Gemei HD8800 they have this new text reader ap in there - unfortunately the way these players are put together means onda and other rely on CC to do the updates and firmware, seems out of their control - not a good way to work

Yeah the VX545HD now comes built in with this text reader, i wonder if they paid the guy who made it or not

This looks nice Maderin, and indeed the CC1600 firmware is pritty stable. With earlier firmware I had a few times a frozen player with player some vids, but lateron nothing!

Also no faults or strange things that don't work, still I hoped to see a user EQ so that you can use it as a player for in your car for example. The bass is sett to loud by default....

Okea but now about the firmware. You showed us a player with converted firmware version 6 of the VX545. The release date is stated to be 20-7-2009 but if I look on the Onda website, the latest version is a beta version 2.2 released on 18-7-2009. Is this the same?

(I can't check anything, but I got the message the Onda is shipped out. So I will soon get my player back! )

not sure, but it should be based on that onda fiormware, the version 6 could have been added by the gut that modded the firmware

so, anyone else tried this out yet, i see about 10 people downloaded it, not exactly massive -i suppose the fact that many of you have now got the version with OTG on so its is best to avoid this firmware

hopefully we will see an update to this players proper firmware soon

Have faith Mad I have around 500 downloads on my hybrid although has been over a year since it's creation
I guess i'm saying if you build it they will come. lol
