I will be receiving the new dual driver Brainwavz R1 tomorrow for review :) I honestly cant wait to try these AFFORDABLE dual driver IEM's. All of the other ones that incorporate two different tuned drivers in one unit are priced WAY higher than the asking price of the new R1's....but then that has always been the hallmark of the Brainwavz lineup--great sound at a great value. I should have them by the early afternoon tomorrow, and I will put up my initial impressions as well as a full, thorough review after a full burn in and some quality time abusing--er--putting them through their paces ;)
Thanks for the opportunity to try these bad boys out, Raz!

Looking forward to your thoughts on these.. Since I've never heard a dual driver IEM before and the price was great I took a chance and also ordered these today.

The whole point of dual drivers is to extend the range that single dynamic drivers can't reach, even good ones. This will be my first time listening to such a design(and NO the B2's aren't anything like these, they are dual armature tuned IEM's--much harder to produce with greater tolerances needed to achieve it's sound signature).
I'm hoping for a fuller, more polished sound stage, something even some of the better single driver dynamic based IEM's can't quite do well. I really can't wait to hear these!! :)
Don't worry, based on all Brainwavz IEM's released so far, you can be rest assured that the R1 will at the very least be worth the money you spent ;)

nice shape and design on these, over the ear type i believe, as well as the sound be good to hear how comfy they are given their break from conventional design
