Does anybody know of a 4.3 or 5" touch screen player that works well and is not buggy waiting for some damn firmware update. I've had two players which i've sent back now which neither worked properly. The first was a lisse q10 and the second was an ainolv9000hda. If there is a player out there that exists at this moment in time that plays music and films without any problems with a perfectly working touch screen with all firmware problems sorted out..............please please please let me know.

A player with all firmware problems sorted out doesn't exist, all players have firmware problems, from the cheap to the very expensive ones. I have a D2 Cowon with still firmware problems, thesame problems are still in the J3, for example: not more then 8000 music files and 4000 other type of files can be on the player. So when you buy a 32GB version, you can't even put all your music and photo's on it that you want. And that is just one example of the more expensive players.

What problem are you talking about of the ainolV9000 HDA? i have that player also, but only for movie playback because that is what it is made for. Tell me a portable player that plays all supported codec formats perfectly... i don't know of any other player, unless it has thesame chip inside of it.

I don't like it for audio playback because the audio quality is not so good. But the audio quality trough video playback is very good when using a good headphone (mp3 music is not so good). I would love to use it as a photo viewer, but i don't like the way it works when zooming in, and then going to the point where you want to view the picture. About all players can just pan around the picture when you zoomed in, this player needs you to use the 4 buttons on the touchscreen more then 10 times if you wanna go to the other side, from one side to another would need more then 30 clicks... other players you just pan around with your finger.

My ainol player would constantly go on auto pilot mode pre selecting things before i had a chance to select anything myself. Also, it could not keep a charge.
The lisse q10 touch screen was very poor, and the back button never worked.

I think there was just something wrong with your 9kHDA. Mine works just fine, and the battery lasts a very long time. I just finished a hour and 45 minute movie and checked the battery when it was over. It had 83% battery left. The only thing i am not fond of with it is the Touch sensitivity. as its is not the greatest when trying to slide things. Outside of that i have no other problems with it.
I only have 2 of these to compare to, my other is the G85 and i like that allot too, but i perfer to watch movies on the 9KHDA as it has a very bright screen compared to the G85.
I got the G85 first, and thought nothing of the screen brightness. When i got the 9kHDA i saw that there was more for brightness and i like it bright.

well, as stated there is no perfect player, be it big name or Chinese brand, i let my samsung P3 go because they dropped support and left bugs in
what you experienced with the Ainol was not a bug but a faulty player and that's just bad luck im afraid, the problems you had, so far, are unique as far as i know - its a good player thats still being developed re firmware (again, this is the same for big brands) - so it seems to me that actually the best player and most capable is the Ainol ones - i would say get another and i think you will be happy with it

I would say thesame as maderin, get another ainol v9000HDA and you should be fine. If good movie playing is very important to you and the sound quality for audio playing was good enough for you, then i would get thesame player again, as i don't have those problems you mentioned on my ainol V9000HDA.

Did you first try the latest firmware? Mine came with the latest firmware so i didn't have to update it yet.

Most things that seems like bugs don't bug me that much :) there are just a few things that i find weird, like the noise it makes when charging (anyone else has this? i did post a message on the forum about this but didn't got a response), it is just weird, i don't know if it is normal for ainol players because i didn't see this on other players. And then the click noise a second or 2 after i pressed the power button to power it on, or press the power button to wake the screen.

Ok i'll try another ainolv9000hda. Where did you guys buy your working ainol players from.......was it mp4nation, if so did they have the latest firmware on them.

Just a warning to you guys. NEVER buy anything from ownta.com, they only seem to sell defective players.

Yep, i got mine from mp4nation, the latest firmware was already on the player.
The player that i got before that, was the Mahdi T951 wich i realy liked because of the codec support and the good screen, but no such things like USB OTG, HDMI out, touchscreen...

I buyd the mahdi player from ownta... battery died after a few months, the battery leaked, and because of that, the contacts within the player got broken.

I hope the Ainol player is gonna live longer then that...

well firmware on players is all down to when they were released, as raz has his new batch in on Monday (and its on pre-sale at the moment :) ) then they will have the latest firmware, i am pretty sure of that - stores wont open players and install firmware - so you get whatever comes from the factory
