For comparisons between the Re0 and the M2, you can read Clieos' and others' reviews on head-fi.org - though I think they use the Visang title. The Re0 wins on detail and treble extension, while the M2's handily win in bass. Having owned the Re0 - I can vouch that they're great iem's, but not when it comes to bass quantity. So you may actually prefer the M2's if warmth is your preferred sound signature.

Also Raz, your opinions on the HF5 are very common. I don't think anyone's ever praised their bass quantity. The bass quality and accuracy is reportedly solid - but the M2's should provide a lot more quantity. I've also shied away from ety's because of their fit and comfort. They require deep insertion - and I've never gotten used to that. The ety glider tips are supposedly more comfortable - but get mixed reviews for sound quality. I briefly owned the er4P's.

yeah ive been trying to decide out of them as the bass is not that important to me rather the soundstage. so if the re0's are warmer in sound i may learn towards them. However with that said mark says the texture is quite thin on them but im not sure how the m2's would compare as of yet

Cannot wait to get my grimey paws on these IEMs.
:o ops:
I mean my hands will be clean before I put them in my ears. Man you guys think I am a barbarian or something. Not that there is anything with barbarians (sorry Warrior).

My IEM collection is getting bigger. I have V-Moda Vibes, Beta Brainwavz, Skull Candy Ink'd, and JBud J2 premiums on their way. Might even get a pair of Hippo VBs too. But if the M2s come out soon I may get a pair of those instead.

I think you may be confusing your terminology. "Warm" and "dark" refer to a bass oriented sound signature (lows). "Cold" and "bright" refer to treble (highs).

Soundstage, as in the perceived area in which music is being played - is typically described by it's depth and width. Instrument separation means how easily you can differentiate the placement of the various instruments. Detail should be self explanatory.

To get a good comparison of the soundstage of these IEM's vs the Re0 - you're going to have to read Clie0s' review on head-fi.org. That's not something I remember off hand, and people's perceptions of soundstage tend to vary a lot more than bass vs. treble.

I meant more in terms of overall sound as in how neutral or warm/fuller sounding they are altogether.
From what i gather the re0's arent that depthy in soundstage but this is about the same as the M2's.
but i wasnt aware clieos review came out yet, ill do a search on it now.

Any updates on availability and pre-orders? I was looking into the Visangs the other day and have just now realized that the M2s are a re-brand. I might hold out for the Brainwavz, if they're available anytime soon.

Raz, are you by any chance planning an M2-E5 bundle? I'm gonna need a portable amp eventually.

Here's a review from a highly regarded reviewer on head-fi.org:

http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f103/visa ... ft-479481/

This multi-review thread will show you how the M2 (Visang R03) will stack up against many other top IEM's for sound quality and value (VERY WELL):

http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f103/mult ... -a-478568/

I noticed that in the first review thread, some guy named "v2P" asked the exact same question comparing the Visang and Re0 as Vince. Same person? Regardless, the answer is there.

I guess I was mistaken and ClieOS hasn't completed his official review, though he chimes in on the first thread I've linked.

Wait for ClieOS to either complete his review, or respond to this thread. I don't know how much time he spends on this forum. But on headfi- he's already completed a review of the Sherwoods. When he writes up the review for the Brainwavz - you can do a direct comparison of his comments. ClieOS is very thorough and reliable. I agree with almost all of the descriptive comments he makes, though I may disagree on the final score. That's because we all value certain strengths and weaknesses differently.

That said, I find ClieOS to be VERY accurate in what the strengths and weaknesses of each headphone are.
