can anyone help - I have just bought the teclast C510 hd mp4 here in Shanghai. Looked good in the store but doesn't really do what I want as an ebook reader. I heard that new firmware upgrade may help, not sure where I can get it or install.
If can't be done I'll have this one week old mp4 for sale ship anywhere.

There is a version 4.00 firmware upgrade for this player. The Chinese translation is:

V4.00 1. New TTS voice reading function startup method: Open the TXT text, short press "Play / Pause" button 2. Add PDF browsing capabilities to the firmware package A. "PDF feature procedural" under the "fonts" and "uxeAPPs" two folders directly copied to the root directory C510HD machine. B. need to view the PDF files on "uxeAPPs" directory. How-to: A. Open the machine into the main menu, choose "game" B. File button to confirm selection BigFish.UXE Description: A. on a button: zoom in / out function of B. M Menu button: rotation C. Play / Pause Key: exit / return function D. volume plus or minus button: flip up and down function

You can download the file here: http://translate.google.com/translate?j ... h-CN&tl=en

And here's the instructions on how to upgrade, if you so desire. This was made for the Onda 575HD, but the procedure is the same for your player: viewtopic.php?f=69&t=15674

After you extract the download to the desktop, open up the TL-C510HD-V4.00 folder. You will see 3 folders under the "pdfXXX folder. Rename these folders 1, 2, and 3. In the first folder you'll find the upgrade tool, "LiveSuit". In the second folder you'll find the .img file needed for the upgrade, and in the 3rd file you'll find the drivers. Good luck.

BTW, welcome to the forums.
