OS-81 screen cracked

Hi,

My screen got cracked this weekend and I issued a ticket for a RMA. Anyone knows how much it might cost to get the screen replaced? Is it worth it or should I just order a new unit?

Ed, sorry to hear that! I love my 0S-81 and would be bummed if I had a cracked screen! How did it happen?

Had in in my shorts pocket, in its Mofi case. I must have bumped into something because when I took it out at night, to listen to some music, saw that the screen was cracked. I am really bummed because I only had it for a couple of weeks. :cry:

Well, it turns on but since all the operations are touchscreen...

Just to inform you broken screens are not covered under the warranty and we don't fix screens even if you offer to pay. The warranty only covers defects in workmanship and not user related damage.

Thanks for the info and appreciate that the broken screen is not repairable. I just purchased the VX777LE. Can you tell me if this player is sturdier than the OS81? Also, I generated a support ticket for this purchase for the 1% discount, since I made one purchase already. Is there any way you can help me out with a little bit more discount, since I only had the OS81 for a couple of weeks?

i have mine since february and still no scratch or crack or whatever and i use it pretty roughly, i always wrap my headphones around it, the screen is pretty strong and i don't even use a screen protector or silicon case but there are several people here who managed to crack theirs :cry:

just be careful, that's all it is

well, most factories offer additional repair services for almost anything broke on a player at a very low price but you have to live in china :cry:

Happened to my first OS-81 one week within purchase, last year. Unfortunatelt there isn't much you can do about it.
