First dual core tablet from Teclast. In all their infinite wisdom Teclast have made a 2160P video playback capable device then stuck a low res 800x480 screen in it. The word MORONS springs to mind. Well at least it's cheap....

1.5Ghz Dual Core A10 chipset
512DDR Ram
800x480 Capacitive Display
2160P Capable
HDMI 3D (1.4) Out
8GB
7-8hrs Battery

599 RMB

Any one know if this is an A8 or A9 based SOC?

its an odd one this chip setup -the "claim" of 2160P decoding is all marketing fluff, just to show "how powerful" it is
there are 4 more in the queue waiting to be released with the latest coming from icoo http://www.imp3.net/10/show.php?itemid=28491 and i hazard a guess they will all be similar spec as their prices seem to be budget orientated, this tectlast could rock in at less than 150$

possibly ARM8 - but cant be definate

just noticed teclast prod page states " Combining advanced full-screen multi-touch technology," but not capacitive, now, when its capacitive they make a meal of it, and many in china refer to multi-touch as capacitive - so be careful here, it could just be resistive multi-touch

also it seems this processor has angered many on a few forums with its naming and claims, apparently the old trick of calling a GPU a CORE is being played here, so it single core, apparently, thre "multi-core" nature thats advertised is in ref to all the onboard chip abilities, GPU, APU etc etc

the "A10" name of course is also annoying many as it seems to have been chosen to indicate cortex A10, - either way there is alot of wool over eyes here with this chip and its a little naughty, but the proof is in the pudding, we know from the past that claims and hardware spec mean squat if the damn thing cant be used through bad programming

a few videos of player in action - a nice one showing the tv out where the player screen remains on as you send output to tv and seems to be keeping up

http://video.baidu.com/v?ct=301989888&r ... last%20P76

for 129 - it may not be a bad option

Not bad, $100 rmb cheaper than the novo7.

So its not yet confirmed if this does have a capacitive screen as the novo7 does have a capacitive screen.

Now it is confirmed that Teclast P76 has a resistive screen and NOVO 7 has capacitive screen. But as far as i know Teclast P76 is further cheaper than NOVO 7. I perceived their price is closer. as shown in*******

I have both the P76 @ $113 and the Novo7 Adv @ $139. 2-4 weeks out of China.
