My S:flo freezes whenever you try to play a song or use the voice recorder or anything to do with engaging sound (it seems). It did it intermittently for a while and needed the reset hole to be poked to make it work again but now it's just given up altogether and freezes every time you try to play a song. I've tried reinstalling the firmware multiple times with different versions but to no avail. Anyone got any ideas? Tbh if this proves terminal I'm a bit disappointed, I've only had it since mid July and between autopilot and the random freezes its been the most frustrating piece of technology I've ever owned!

hi
try format the player main memory
run a virus scan
load a few songs on and test, see if it cures

there is a 12 month warranty on this so you may be in luck as we have seen a few s:flo of late have this very problem

Yeah I've done that a couple of times, just ran a virus scan and it's come up empty. If its a frequent problem I'll wait for raz to reply and see what he has to say about it :)

Thanks!

My Flo was freezing up recently, I ran all the mp3's through Roxio
and edited the audio tags, took out everything but the title and artist
never froze up then. However lately ( and this is weird ) my headphone
jack is loose inside the Flo, I have to jiggle it to get to work, when it is
in the right spot all is well, sound etc, however if I move it a bit, the screen freezes
and sound goes. Move it again and all is well ??? I wonder if this area of the flo is causing
probs with some units ???

It is under warranty I will get a ticket and get it checked out

Hope you get yours sorted.

Sounds like your headphone jack is loose, the only way to fix it (without invalidating your warranty) is to send it back for an RMA, you can open a support ticket if you wish to do this at http://www.mp4nation.net/support
