uhm, yes? and? these players already exsist (ipod, cowoon, samsung, s:flo, vx777le, sony) and could be done easily, something like the s:flo but a little more bigger and more powerful and the s:flo is very afforable compared to e.g. an ipod

I will agree with " Ainol-Sophia " on the point about if prices are to high people will goto sony, or apple.
and this doesn't makes sense to you? of course people will go to a branded player, if the price is the same as apple or sony and the quality is 100 times less..

again, look at the s:flo: capacitive touch screen, dynamic scrolling, album art, seperate audio chip etc. it just needs some refinement because it (still) contains some unacceptable bugs, it could be done but china is totally focused on batteling who can play the highest resolution video possbile on the planet ever! well yeah, in such a case you only need a housing, screen and PLAY and STOP buttons..

in other words: can ainol make a player similar to the ipod touch? do you have these capabilties?

Meizu made something that can compete with the IPhone, but then again not cheap at all. I completely understand Ainol-Sophia. Ainol products are targeted to the Chinese consumer and to a certain budget. If touchscreen is your thing and you like what Apple has to offer, then get an Ipod damn it!

Ipod is tied to the "fat" iTunes, others need a hardware button on the top or the bottom of the case to go back to the main menu and sliding my thumb all over the screen is not what mean ergonomics to me. When I see what people can do on their free time with Rockbox, I think manufacturers should be more efficient in using hardware with the soft properly.

well, it's a personal matter then but i can imagine when people are walking or on the bus/train or whatever, they prefer to operate their player with one hand, at least i do, i also travel quite a lot and it's a real pain having to operate the os-81 with two hands, you have to stand still somewhere, stop every other activities you're doing just to skip to the next song or something

btw an ipod works perfectly fine with winamp + ipod plugin and i dont want an ipod, i want a newer s:flo ;)

I agree with you it's a question of personnal taste, to me, I shouldn't have to watch the screen for basic functions such as vol+, vol-, play/pause or next/previous, with Rockbox you can also use voiced menus :) . And my player is small enough to be well handed, I think a music player is better with a small screen (not more than 3").

The last generation of Ipods need iTunes to synchronize with your computer. Under Linux some people used their Ipod Touch with a modded firmware (Jailbreak) and synched it via wifi with Amarok.

With the iphone iphone there is volume buttons on the side and you don't have to watch the screen if you shake the iphone now it changes the song with the 3.0 firmware. and if you double click on the iphone home button while locked you can pause/play and rewind/foward/ change song without unlocking the screen it's extremely simple to use. One hand is not a problem. Also have earphones that have mic for talking and buttons to pause/ff/rew. Now there is also voice recognition as well i found out. I don't know how that's going to work. If iphone played all the formats chinese pmps do /sd card slot/ tv out i wouldn't need an mp4 player. I love the one hand handling with the iphone

I have a friend who gave a try to Apple computers, he will never go back to Wintel, his mp3 player is an Ipod now. They're not great in new technologies but ergonomics. :)

Hi everyone!!

I just received my V6000HDR today. I tried to update it, but it failed. Is there anyway I can revert it so that my player works again? It is bricked now =(.

I can turn it on, but it gives me a red screen. All I want to do is use it now, even if I can't get the upgrade.

Also, is V6000HDR = V6000HDV?

Many thanks for all your help!

Hi,

I suggest that you look into this repair method viewtopic.php?f=4&t=12762

The HDV and the HDR are quite different. They are using 2 different type of processor. The HDV is using the SoChip SC8600 but your HDR is using the ChinaChip CC1600.

Get the firmware here

it is very difficult to know as you Ainol web site does not have a full product list at all and its very hard to find what players you have from your website - do you have a link on the site showing all the models of players from ainol

Weird since all the pic that I could find for the HDR seems to give a menu style resembling to the cc1600 chip. Is the HDR capable of playing MKV?

Hello, Ainol-Sophia, Could I get you to look at this post "MAJOR Disaster for my new Ainol HDR" in the "Ainol Player Talk" section. All I did was try to update my HDR to the latest Firmware and now Windows can't even install the correct drivers so it can see it. If Windows can't see it I can't even begin to fix it!. Your help or advice if any, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Which languages contains in new firmware v8000hda200901028 ? Does in contains English language?
Where can i get manual in English?
Thank you.
