Hot off the press is news of Sony’s forthcoming and pretty damn good sounding XPERIA X10 smartphone. It’s powered by a 1 Ghz Snapdragon, has a 4 inch scratch-resistant TFT screen, an 8.1 megapixel camera with face recognition and preloaded smart apps including Timescape and Mediascape.
It also has an 8GB memory card, up to 1GB phone memory and the much-toted Android RACHAEL interface, all adding up to them more than likely to live up to their promise of providing one of the best User Experience (UX) platforms.
Expect to see this nifty beast make a splash in 2010.

According to Moore's law the speed of computing (or something like that) duplicates every 18 months. You can do the math. ^^

I'm really excited about whats happening in the mobile/cell phone arena at the moment. With the whole next generation of mobile cpus coming along we are really starting to see some unbelievable devices, which are amazingly capable. Mobile web browsing in particualar is really starting to come into its element.

With andorid gaining pace now and companies like HTC and now sony ericcsson putting their own customisations in place, the only advantage I can see the iphone having these days is a larger app store. I mean this phone, the motorola droid and some of the new htc devices completely outpec the iphone in every area, and with 10,000+ apps in the android store is still nothing to be sniffed at although not near apples 100,000+. Many companies are also supporting useful features like multitouch and Andorid 2.0 is looking like a nice improvement too.
