million dollar question

RMVB is a bit complicated to convert, mainly because of the lack of programs out there to convert videos to RMVB, those that are out there tend to be in Chinese and the official RMVB conversion program from Real is not free.

Certainly if you are going to make a 720p video in RMVB the source has to be at least 720p.

I use Xilisoft Video Converter Ultimate, works great for converting MPG/4's. I set the bitrate to around 2200kb and size to 800x480 pixels and it's sweet. But.... I only bother about displaying things on the Chuwi and don't have a large LCD to output, just standard box.

Note: that I always check the source file before, to see its bitrate, dimensions etc. because there is no point making a larger file rmvb if you can only get 1300kb out of the source file.

well the VANHELLSING trailer in the chuwi is around 2mins, and is 50MB so that means a whole movie whould about5GBfor a one and half hour movie, does this mean i would need pure blueray rips in order to achieve quality Vanhellsing like?

do you just mean "nice to watch" or do you mean "Jesus 720p ness"?

There will be a BIG BIG difference in size to what you choose.

The is no set "size" for the starting file. I depends on the codac resoution bitrate frame rate.... and so on.

720p WIll go "nom nom nom" all over your memory (aka over a gig for 10 minutes)

I would convert to the either the Screen resolution OR the resolution of the default video whichever is smaller. (that way you get the most quality ment for the screen)

you can go ahead and download 720 p clips in avi and convert them with them still in 720 p, but the file will be RIDICULOUSLY large.

as I ( and manderin1) agree.... why put 720p on such a small player with only 8 gigs?
