A Chinese site has claimed that the Meizu M8 is to make a live appearence at the German CeBIT exhibition in March

There also seems to be a whole load of images and some specifications that may or may not be true, but things are looking up regarding the development of this beast

The M8 and M7 are gonna blow their apple counterparts outta the solar system with these specs, unless the next generation iphone/ipod touch come b4 these actually get released, which is highly likely

well its kind of funny, seeing how the M8 runs on Windows Mobile and the iPod touch runs on Mac OSX, it will be like a mac vs pc type of deal

yeah iv know tihs like for 5 months now supposedly the new iphone will have 3G

This is pretty old news.

There is also a well-reasoned thread on MeizuMe arguing that while the M8 will appear at CeBIT, it won't be in production until Q3 because of that 667MHz ARM11 processor.

J.Wong Meizu's CEO has just confirmed in a post on the Chinese Meizu forum that the M8 will definitely make it's first public appearence at CeBit in Germany (4th-9th March). There will be 1 M8 prototype and 2 main boards on display. However, the prototype will have a standard single point touch screen, the production models are said to include multitouch! just like the iphone, except this may delay the release date a little. Rumours suggest it will be Q3. All the info is here >>>

yeah that pmp today post is rubbish, the MeizuMe link I posted links directly to J.Wongs post today in the Chinese Meizu forum. Someone had started a rumour it would not show, which is probably where pmp today got their info. I only ever believe any information about the M8 if J.Wong himself says it on the Chinese forum. Great news about multitouch though, shame it will inevitably delay the release date longer, I rekon we will be looking at Q3 earliest now. Saying that though H.264/Xvid/RMVB video playback at full DVD resolution and all the other amazing features are definitely worth waiting for IMO.
