Hi,

I am interested in buying an Ainol V3000. For me it's very important that the player can play a video-file from a (micro) SD-Card with the following format: codec XVID, name: XVID ISO MPEG-4, kbps 3000, 640x480@30fps, Audio PCM.

Can someone please verify that the Ainol can play such a file?

If someone is willing to try, I have a simple video available.

Thanks,
Roene

It will play from the SDHC card....But the video file you have specs on....3000kbps????!
Audio PCM?

You do know there are free video converters right? That work very well [NOT with 'those' specs though!]

What is your reason for those file settings? Just that those are what your video's are now?

I know that there are video-converters. My problem is that the videos come from a helmet camera (http://www.vholdr.com), that I will take with me on my next skitrip. The camera doesn't have a viewer and I probably don't have access to a computer where I'm going (so I can't convert the videos). So I was looking for a player that could play the file directly from my camera. I can't change the recording settings.

I understand now that the biggest problem is the bitrate. I put a sample video on the following website: http://home.planet.nl/~desja005/, but someone who tried it on the Nationite OS-81 couldn't play the file. These players all use the same chip, so that would mean that none of the players is able to play the video file.

Thanks for your answer, but I will have to think of another plan.

That wont play on the Onda vx777 or the Ramos T8 either.....I thought I'd try, just for the heck of it. 8)

Maybe a laptop ? Barrow one if you dont own one, maybe?
Like at the hotel or wherever your staying....

Thanks very much for trying. I heard that there are some new players announced like the Ainol V3000HD and the JXD980, who might be able to play these movies. So I will keep an eye on them.

Borrowing a laptop also came to my mind. I don't have one myself, but my parents are considering buying one. Maybe I have to persuade them to do that a bit sooner ;-)

Yep, i too tried the same settings on of my video and then played it on my V3000, it was crap. It didn't play at all. So i suppose Blade is right and you can follow his directions.

Thanks.

both those players are probably your best bet to get a video with the high audio bit rate from your camera cam to work without conversion.

Most likely the V3000HD (or any player using the 720p chip) will perform the best.

I think even the V3000HD would find it harder to play AVI with such high bitrate, but i am not sure on the exact values. So i think you could refer to someone who has a V3000HD.
