Have you try the reset hole on the bottom? when you take battery out without plug charger in., wait for few more mins before insert in again, it should work.

Apart from screen different, also capacitive screen model has built in GPS, G-sensor, Full USB host.

everything will be the same.

I should point out that mine is the resistive model but, as it is one of the latest models, has GPS, G-Sensor and Full USB as well...so, I think you wouldn't be able to differentiate by simply looking at the unit. The only way to know is by testing the screen once you've booted up. The capacitive should respond well to your fingertip and should allow for 2 point (or is it 1.5) pinch and zoom.

As for being stuck on the android boot screen...leave the unit unplugged and remove the battery for a few minutes. Pop it back in and try again. I had mine hang on the splash screen once also and I simply let it be (5 minutes or so) and it eventually made it to the desktop.

Worse case, I would try reinstalling the firmware - there is a guide here in the Midnite Firmare forum. Good luck!

Be careful using the reset hole, my unit does not have a button inside the hole and pushing something in there would damage the unit, if you are looking to re flash the firmware visit this site: http://www.vplace.tk, It has a firmware download and other useful guides.

No, you have to use capacitive FW, it's different. http://www.vplace.tk/post.php?id=33

Flashing the firmware might be the best idea, When my tablet arrived the firmware was very buggy, It would go to sleep and never wake up and often reboot for no reason. Using the latest firmware from vplace helped with the rebooting problem but about once a day the device will still go to sleep and not be able to be woken up.

I'm afraid that what if they send the wrong MID (resistive) to me and I flash using the capacitive firmware. There is no way to check which version (resistive or capacitive) of MID I'm holding.
