Hi.

I preorder a BrainWavz M3 and lately, I am not much satisfied with my Ipod (8 Gb, 4th generation).

So, I am exploring for others MP3 players, my interest is focus in:

- Sound quality (very important).
- It plays OGG, FLAC, ACC and MP3.
- Size.
- Price.

I read Cowon is the best, actually, but I think they are more video/audio players than audio players and they look big. Also, I read Sandisk Sansa give good sound quality and Sansa Clip Zip plays all the formats.

Some recommendation, suggestion, idea?

Thanks.

I'd recommend the Sansa Clip+.

The answer is always the same when a question like this comes up: Cowon or Sansa.

If you want something "equivalent" (as in premium price) to the iPod/iPod Touch, then its Cowon, like the J3.

If you want something more basic, then it's the original Fuze, the Clip+, or the Clip Zip.

Can't go wrong...well, except with Sansa's Fuze+ (they changed the processor for that one) and some of Cowon's puzzling PMPs.

It's really sad that the only Chinese players (this site's specialty) worth discussing these days are the absurd to outright ridiculously stupid "audiophile" brands like HiFiMan, HiSound, Colorfly and QLS.

Thanks for the help.

It looks the better player sound quality/formats/size/price is the Sansa.

Quite sad indeed. I don't know about the other three, but i wouldn't touch a hisound product, their stuff is literally dollar bin hardware maskarading as high end with the help of a lot of shilling on head-fi.

Interesting. Got any more info or proof of this? :)

I think I posted stuff back when I posted pics of the studio on the forums. They didn't quite appreciate me posting pics and mentioning the shilling. I'm not going to go into it again, I just wouldn't touch any of their products.
