Ramos T13FHD touch screen responsiveness problem

When I received Ramos T13FHD PMP I found touch screen responsiveness problem. Hence installed/upgrated the player with latest firmware (4.9).

Upgration done as follows:
1.Downloaded latest firmware from "http://www.ramos.com.cn/support.php?support_downid=240" page to FAT32 formatted microSD card.
2.Inserted microSD card with latest firmware in player
3.Started the player

All the upgration steps completed successfully as per the manual.

Now after the upgration, when I started the player I am ending up with calibration test screen (blue background screen with '+' symbol on it). Player is just getting in to loop with calibration screen. Not able to use the player.

Please let me know how to resolve this problem.

I think you need to reinstal the firmware again.

I did install again as explained earlier......but no luck.

Can you tell me if there is any other way of installing/upgrading the firmware for this player.

Will intalling lower version help? Can you speak to Ramos on this problem?

how are you touching the screen - remember this is resistive and does not really work too well with using the fleshy parts of the finger

to complete the calibration use a stylus as using your finger may not be accurate enough, resistive screens work different than those on ipods etc with their capacitive screens

so, try use a stylus to complete the calibration and let us know what happens

Well it works fine with my player, no touch problems and it's quite responsive. If only needs a finger nail press if for example you're watching a video and want to pop up the controls. I thought it's the same when the screen goes black and locks.

With reinstalling the firmware, I ment reinstalling in a different way. You could try to put the file on the player itself and follow the same steps you did before. An other possibility is to acces the update via a menu on the player, but as you doesn't have acces to that....
Maybe there was also a fourth way, but I'm not shure. Rowwor knows more probably..
