Hi, I have a SmartQ 5, as you may or may not know, the device has bluetooth :) but I've realized that mine never worked. At the moment it's running android 2.2 and when I go into setting and turn on bluetooth, it just doesn't turn on. I had the same problem when running android 1.5 but I just assumed it was the software not working properly, but I'm sure I've read that people have had bluetooth working on both firmwares. So, is it just a software issue, or could I have a slightly faulty unit? you can hear quite loud rattling (sometime) when using the device so could that be the broken bluetooth chip? (I'd really rather, not having to dismantle it)
Thanks allot!
Darwin.

Sorry darwin, I wish i could help you, I haven't follow the SMQ for a long time, so does my SMQ7, maybe other user A. nation could help you when he gets on here.

Have you check the smq forum?

I've searched through the smartq forum and found nothing of any help :/ I've also posted this on there as well, I was thinking Raz may want to see this because it may be an RMA issue? I've had it less than a year so it's still in warranty. Does changing the firmware void the warranty?
Thanks.
Darwin.

Pretty sure it won't void the warranty if you change the firmware. If it did, people with the MIDnite would be out of luck.

I'm not sure if Android 2.2 has been fully customised to allow the onboard BTooth to work. One way to check if the BTooth is working would be to install the official Linux firmware and turn it on while running that.
