A nice mix between HDD players and TV Tuners has been created by a company called EverBright. You can watch VHF & UHF TV and CATV on its Sharp TFT 8 inch screen! But it doesn't stop there, this nice player has a ton of impressive features including an 80 GB removable hard disk, a 6-in-1 card slot that can use all types of memory cards, FM Transmitter, a 2900mAH battery, & remote control just to name a few. Of course is an HDD player so you can watch MPEG1-4, AVI, WMV, MP3, WMA and more. This is truly a versatile player that is above the others in many features. Cost you ask? No word yet, but you can be sure that it will not be very cheap. Hey, we can still dream...

1) Not seeing how much they're looking to charge for this.

2) Pulling down VHF and UHF signals is going to be absolutely pointless in 12 months in the states. Those channels just won't exist. So why both investing in a player like this?

This gives me the opportunity to use one of my favorite phrases:

It's simply an exercise in futility!
