Relying on backlighting control and a textured adhesive film that directs screen elements to different eyes, creating 3D video.
The 2.8 inch display which could spice up PMPs and cellphones has been developed alongside a larger 9 inch display that uses the same system.
3M claim mass production of both sizes has already begun.

well there seems to be more than just 3m doing this, bmorn is also claiming a new device they will be releasing will allow for 3D viewing, but its not clear if you would need to wear glasses or not.
