This is a incorrect statement. Read my Oppo V9 review to see how well a Rockchip player can deal with a FLV file.

Well I have the Oppo V9, which is a Rockchip Player, and it plays FLV files like a dream. Infact I watch all video in FLV format because of how much easier it is to deal with the xvid. You two are basing all your knowledge of the FLV format on one review: Image

I only hope I can stop this bogus "Rockchip doesn't like FLV" rumor before it spreads any farther.

OK now that I delt with that.

I really like this new player. I think if it had been around when I purchased my Oppo this would have ben a close second. What a deal for a player like this!

I wasn't saying it was bad, I was asking how the playback was in order to determine if it was bad. You shouldn't make assumptions either Image

as can be seen from my previous post i based my comment on what i knew and i did also make reference to the fact that RAmos may have made a better attempt at implementing FLV . I originally based my comments not on one review but on the FACT that Teclast had tried and failed as had other manufacturers.

i did not know that the oppo is a RockChip player, i do now :P

as i do not wish to spread any terrible rumors about the rockchip and FLV and change my comment to:-

as far as i know FLV playback on a rockchip can be excellent, as proved by OXrod in hi review here --> http://www.mp4nation.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=466

I was about to "usually". But no, it's "always".

And the thing is, is that he doesn't seem to care enough to come back and follow through with any of his questions.

how a rockchip player handles flv files is not the same and is different from player to player. Some manufacturers have done a better job, others have done poorly - the new Ainol V950 can barely handle FLV files - its like watch a slide show with music.

Sorry didn't mean to sound nasty. For me the FLV format has been a second coming event. The Video plays so well on my Oppo in that format. I guess what is to be seen is wil the RAmos be more like the oppo or the Ainol.
