I've been having problems with the audio jack on this thing. If the headphone cable is moved at all there is a tendency for audio to cut out, get fuzzy, lose one side, etc. This happens using different sets of headphones, as well as my cord I use to hook up to the transmitter.

It seems like the jack inside the player is loose or something. I have to gingerly spin the jack, or gently wiggle it around until I find the sweet spot.

Is this normal for these units? I'm incredibly careful with this thing and my headphones, so it's definitely not from any sort of wear-and-tear on my part. I noticed it happen when I first got it but thought it was a fluke, but it's been happening more and more lately.

really sonds as though the connector has come loose on the mainboard inside.
Short of opening it up and soldering it back up there is nothing you can do but to request a replacement

This is not normal on these products at all - its just that yours seems faulty, just bad luck im afraid

you need to make contact with your seller and explain, or if you bought from here the order@mp4nation.net.

Thanks for the advice, Maderin. I'll contact admin here. It's getting to the point that I can't listen to the thing unless I set it on the desk and make sure I don't move. (not very practical)

it's not happening to mine. The headphone they gave me did that but the player itself didn't.

I'm glad to hear it's not happening to everyone. Hopefully I get it back fairly quickly once I mail it back to Hong Kong.

Can I ask what happened to your player? Did you end up returning it? or did you find a way to fix it on your own? The SAME problem is happening to my player and it is very annoying.

Thanks ahead of time for your replies.

I had a similar problem with my VX767. The audio would only play out of one earphone if the jack was moved at all after fiddling with it to make sure that it was playing out of both. This seems like a common problem with Onda players.

I shipped it back to MP4Nation to have it repaired. Took a while but now it's back and works fine again.

Yeaa, I also started having the same problem with my vx747's headphone jack a couple days ago...it worked perfectly for a couple months. I dont know whether I should spend money/time shipping it to Hong Kong or try selling it on ebay and buy another mp4 player? Does anybody kno if they replace the player or fix it?! Also, if it is fixed, will the same problem occur again in the future?! thanks!
