well they are ticking some major boxes here - under what brand/body was it on sale before then???

i imagine with the 28 series chip that we will actually see a new ui and intreface rather than the s:flo one as it will be just as much work to do a new one as to port the old stuff to the new 28 system - hope so as it is a new player it would be a shame not to give a fresh new look and improve on the original

battery life is someting also that this player needs, not sure how good a management system the new 28 series players have

s:flo Hi Definition - or s:flo DIGITAL s:flo audio pro - i domt know - either way it needs to be proved first otherwise the phase out mob will get ya!!!

it wasn't under any particular brand, it was just a player they were touting, but they hadn't given of the specs, so there wasn't reason to too interested in it.

The RK2806 i think is the same as the RK27xx chips, all very low power consuming chips, but off course higher res videos and higher bit rate audio decrease battery life faster than normal res/bitrate stuff.

drum roll....

below are real snaps of the player from the factory:

very much same look as the S:Flo, but with a noticeably wider screen due to it being 3.5" now.

Considerably thicket than the original S:Flo, but the headphone and line out are conveniently located on the bottom of the player. looks like it will have a normal 5pin usb slot (thank god) and yes that is a slider between the audio ports and usb slot. I have been told its for manual volume control, but may have other uses with the UI. Also there is still a slot on the edge for a strap to be attached.

The old silver tin back is no more, now a harder plastic or metal back will be used, more resistant to scratches and dents than the S:Flo.

Godbless the factory, there ladies and gents is the microsd slot, i am already nagging for a custom firmware with internal+microsd memory integration, lets cross our fingers for that.

I goe the UI pics. its very basic, just like how the original S:Flo was when i first saw it in a trade show for the first time. I will post it shortly. I am also pretty sure its using a standard 480x272 res screen and not 800x480 screen.

haha, i think there is still sometime before we get to that stage, the device is still very new and clearly from the UI shots, has a very basic interface still.

Not the prettiest player but definitely a big step in the right direction. Very nice upgrade of the Sflo which had too many flaws and shortcomings for my liking but this one could actually make some waves, a real Nationite in the making :-)

As far as the design goes I feel this player needs some bling, at least a big silver Teclast or Nationite logo on the back. This one would go very well with a pair of PL-50's and a Mofi case on the side. :-)
