Great Headphones, which you must hear you.Much better than the Koss Porta Pro and AKG K-450 (Posted on 4/4/13)Overall - Great sound, extremely uncomfortableReview by Ashton

Although these sound great for the price, I can barely tolerate wearing them. My biggest issue is the ear cup angle is not adjustable, causing them to dig in under the ears. No matter how I adjust the ear cups position on the headband, or how I angle the headband, they are uncomfortable because of ear cups putting most of their pressure under the ear/top of the jaw, and almost not touching the head above the ear. Also the clamping force is slightly too high, and the padding is too thin and hard, getting hot quickly. They are slightly too big for on the ear, and slight too small for around the ear wearing. (Posted on 3/31/13)Overall - Amazing sound quality, with a few drawbacks.Review by Nicolas

The sound quality of this headphones is pretty amazing. Strong and punchy bass, good mids and great clarity. Amazing soundstage, some times it makes you feel like the band is playing in your room. Construction quality also seems pretty good, they look like some durable headphones.Overall
Only problem is that the seal that the earpads give is NOT very good: this means to not so good isolation and less bass (also, not very good for bassheads). For the same reason, they can get unconfortable (that probably depends on the shape of your head, though). Those are the only reasons I have this headphones a 4 star rating, instead of 5.
GREAT product, highly recommended! :) (Posted on 3/14/13) - Good solution for allReview by Gracjan

Good quality of materials and sound. (Posted on 3/8/13)Overall - Neither good nor bad.Review by Ihar

I bought a headset for $ 39.5 per share. For this money, the claims to the headphones can not be. Use them to watch movies on the laptop and listening to music while surfing the Internet. Sit on the head is not as convenient as the Audio-Technica ATH-AD300, but tolerable. Strongly do not get tired. (Posted on 2/10/13)Overall - Great value for money headphones!Review by Jason

I was looking for a pair of cheap headphones and many reviews led me to this. This was on discount at that time for only 37$ and the free zirconia stand was a steal!Overall
Upon puyrchasing the headphone, i immediately took it out and felt the difference..it was so huge compared to the other headphones I previously own!
I have started some studio recording recently and this headphones just sounded amazing with my digital piano. Previously, it either sounded too sharp or too boomy with other "bass enchanced" headphones...but with this, the melody sounded very sweet and secure. Gives you the feeling it will be able handle any dynamics of sound!
Besides the slightly small earpads, this headphone is great! The bass is just accurate with really sharp highs ( something i really like! )
Overall a good headphone to purchase on a tight budget (Posted on 1/25/13) - Average sound, for small heads.Review by Jesse

My HM3 arrived in around 2 weeks. On first use I was rather unimpressed by the sound. It was lacking definition and impact in all ranges.Overall
I gave them 100 hours burn-in, still sound about the same.
clamping force is high on my head. I had put them over my sub woofer for a few day to be able to wear them for more than 5 mins at a time.
I still want to take them of after 10 mins, for comfort and to put something better sounding on.
Bundle is nice with the extra pads and adapters.
Some people may want to amp them for more volume. But they do go fairly loud without.
I had to take them of during this review and put my R1s on instead.
I got these for just under $40 I do not think theses are worth the cost even at that price.
In closing if you have a small head and ears, like laid back sound this may be OK for you. (Posted on 1/1/13) - Excellent for the price!Review by Steve

For $35 this has to be the best pair of headphones I have ever invested in!Overall
I liked it so much that I have decided to order another pair just before writing this review!
The bass is excellent. It isn't lacking, but isn't overpowering either. Its just perfect.
Once thing that I have noticed and don't like is the fact that the headphones are on ear. This leads to an uncomfortable feel after long periods of use. (Posted on 12/14/12) - price/performance good.Review by Ferhat

Out of the box, they are very good. Well balanced, the bass is strong but not over-powering just right for any music. The mids and highs are reasonably detailed for the price.Overall
Thanks mp4nation. (Posted on 12/4/12) - Good build, good soundstage and bassReview by erd

HM3 are very solid performers for the price. The build quality is decent. They are not bass heavy but there is certainly enough of it. The soundstage is quite wide. They are not very big and bulky, therefore I find them quite portable. The packaging is nice and certainly suitable for gifting. Recommended. I recently bought this on special to add to my growing Brainwavz collection. Having owned the HM5 which I admit is a step above the HM3, these cans are fantastic value if you are looking for a portable set of headphones.Overall
Out of the box, the sound is clear and is not muddy. The bass is punchy and fun. It might not have the clarity and neutrality of the HM5, but the sound signature is one that you would enjoy for hours end.
The added pair of ear pads is a nice extra and I actually like the short cable. Too often I find cables too long and this one is just right especially when it is meant to be portable.
The clamp is a bit tight at the beginning but this is the same with the HM5. It will gradually loosen overtime. If you have big ears, this could be a bit uncomfortable. As mentioned in a previous review, you could always use a different set of ear pads.
Overall, another great product from Brainwavz and at $30-$35 (which does happen quite often), it's a great steal. (Posted on 10/13/12) - Another great buyReview by Peter Jr.

What can I say... let's get straight to the point.. I am again satisfied with this purchase! :) One way to describe it is that HM3 is a good blend, the sound is wide and spacious enough, it has clear mids, the treble is not harsh, the bass delivers enough(for me) sub-bass and mid bass quantity..not too much not lacking, at the same time the mid bass is not boomy nor too punchy.. that's why I said this one is a good blend, an all-rounder. If you are looking for smething versatile and is the jack-of-all trades then these would suit you : ) (Posted on 10/11/12)Overall - Great fit for the kidsReview by Pat

Great sounding headphones, fit is a little small for me to wear continuously but it is a great fit for my 5 year old and handy for him using a tablet to watch movies in the car, (Posted on 10/10/12)Overall - Mixed feelingsReview by Coop

When I first tried my HM3s, they sounded absolutely awful. And I mean really awful, so bad even I thought I received a broken set of headphones. But after playing music through them, they really loosened up.Overall
After about an hour the sound had changed from really bad to really quite acceptable, another hour later they had changed even more and I was actually starting to enjoy the sound. Now it sounds like what I expected from a set of headphones in this priceclass. And even a bit better.
After the initial scare of the bad sound, I've had no problems with it, other than the fit/comfort. It takes a lot of effort to make it sit comfortable om your ears, But once you do, it's well worth it.
A good sounding headphone for the price, a great sounding headphone for the pre-order price I paid for it... (Posted on 9/1/12) - My Primary HEADPHONESReview by PIN

I was IEM lover before.. I have 2 good IEM with me.. one of them is Brainwavz beta; which I love so much... then someday, I read about HM3 from Brainwavz... I think that it must be a GOOD ONE! I search the review on the internet, but found only little about it...Overall
I read some hifi master recommend this headphones, make me really want to buy it at that time.. but I decided to wait for couple more months just to be sure that I really want to try this HM3.
After couple months, I decided to buy it.
It is come with good packaging, even come with spare earbud!
now, time to test the sound...
I put it on my iphone 4S.. and listen to my rock music... the bass is OK, but the treble is soooo strong for me!
I wonder what happened, then I switch to my iPod nano.. this time.. It sounds better...
well.. I can't tell you why, but seems that this HM3 doesn't like Rock music on iPhone 4S :D for other type of music, it was OK... not as best as my iPod Nano or iPod Touch, but the sound is acceptable... that's the only disadvantages that I can feel of...
For pop/jazz/clasic, this headphones is BEST! the sound clarity is there! the sounds are not just average.. it is better than my friend headphones (that is very famous brand, and much much much more expensive).
After about 200 hours of listening music (burn-in), the sound quality were improving...
Now, it become my main headphones, i bring it in my backpack everyday! it is very LIGHT!
P.S> it is now much much more better as I just purchase Fiio E6... :D I will write my review on E6 as well! (Posted on 8/21/12) - HM3 excellenceReview by Sanjay

These are my first headphones...I have ear buds Brainwavz M4 M1 Ajays 3 Skullcandy Soundmagic etc...Overall
HM3 compliments my M4 (which I find better than others) has a better sound signature than M4 ...When I am at home I prefer HM3.
I do not have a amplfier and am still not sure if I need them as the sound in HM3 is crystal clear with rich bass mid tones & treble...
Thank you MP4 nation for enriching my life as I am a rock fan with more than 1500 vinyl LPs

Pros: Smooth Clear Sound, Light WeightOverall
Cons: Stock Pads, Does Not Fold
Even before burn it, the sound signature was what I was looking for. Not too bright, forward mids and just the right amount of punchy bass.
After many hours of burn-in, the HM3 Heaphones have matured into a perfect blend of High/Mids/Lows and thus has become my main portable set. The cord length is perfect for this as well. Not too long, not too short, but juuuust right.
Comfort wise, you really need to bend the headband a lot to shape them to fit. Not too hard to do though. As for the stock pads, I have smaller ears, so they fit as Over-the-Ear for me, but just barely. This causes my ears to get sore as they are slightly smooshed in between the pads. They also make my ears warm after a short amount of time.
So fix the comfort/fit issue I took the extra set of round HM3 pads, took out the padding and retrofit them with the oval Beyerdynamic EDT 250. I could not be happier with the results.
In this price range, the HM3 stands a top. I would recommend these to anyone.

I'm living in Turkey, and i get my headphones in 11 days. It is fast enough. Headphone's are really successful as i read on reviews at the web sites. Sound quality is really good. Bass sounds are successfull but the sound is also clear. Isolation is so good for a headphone, you know generally in ear phones are good at isolation but headphones not so good. These are really good, when i play music, generally i don't here other sounds. Lastly, i liked headphones and the service of mp4nation.net. (Posted on 6/1/12)Overall - Aside from the ear pads, this is a great product.Review by Nerdsinc

This is like the Headphone version of M2 with:Overall
A) more detail in the bass and stronger bass
B) a big W on each earcup.
These sound.... Good. I prefer them in terms of SQ to My M2's, who have already awesome SQ.
As said before, the detail in the bass is noticeably better (not by a large margin though) and the rest is almost exactly like the M2's.
The clamping force is not skullcrushing and it can still deliver great sound. Furthermore, these pair great with a set of Fiio E11's. The Bass boost on the E11's turned to 1 sounds awesome with the Hm3's.
I just have 2 gripes with this:
1) The seal with the pads aren't all that good, leading to a noticeable drop in the overall bass the HM3's have the potential to deliver.
2) The pads CAN get uncomfortable after an extended period of wearing the Hm3's.
Overall, great sound, great price and great product. (Posted on 5/30/12)
