Product Description:

The BRAINWAVZ B2 are based on a dual balanced armature configuration, which is very different from the rest of the BRAINWAVZ line which is based on dynamic drivers, as such the BRAINWAVZ B2 has quite a different sound from the rest of the BRAINWAVZ stable.

The B2 sound signature is one of detail, with wonderful mids, clear highs, wide soundstage and a bass that many would coin as just right. The sound would be best summarized as being well rounded, that each part of the sound spectrum is well represented provide a truly balanced sound.

BRAINWAVZ B2 earphones will come with a 1 year swap for new warranty, should anything go wrong with the unit, you only need to send the earphones and we will send back a brand new unit sealed retail unit to you.

Great sound, cheap cable
  • The sound is amazing. Isolation is much better than R-50. However, they could do something to improve the cable. The cable cracked in several places 6 months after normal use. I am planning to buy another one.

Excellent analytical IEM for the price!
  • This dual balance armature flagship of Brainwavz IEM is excellent for the rice especially when you get it during their promotion.

The sound is crisp, detail and revealing but maybe abit shy of the bass. It is good for someone who are into analytical sound and who like classical music. I don't think many IEM can beat this for the price.

MP4Nation provides good services too, noting that I bought several other pairs for myself and friends too. Delivery is fast and prompt! Well done!

great for classical and jazz
  • These are currently the flagship IEM for the Brainwavz line. The B2 has dual BA drivers, I can describe their sound as being analytical and bright. Bass is tight and punchy, but perhaps a little light in bass quantity, I didn't experience any bass bleed with these. Mids are very detailed, they are also very revealing meaning that you can hear flaws in the recordings. Highs are quite forward and bright, these would be great for treble-heads, while others may find the highs to be a bit too much. The BA drivers are quick, I could hear individual notes more distinctly compared to other dynamic driver IEMs I own.

As with most of Brainwavz products, it has good packaging and accessories. I think at the >$150 price segment I would have preferred the shells to be constructed from metal/aluminum instead of plastic. The long nozzle where the tips are placed is quite thin and looks a little fragile so care should be taken when replacing tips. The cable is soft and flexible but I'm not a fan of the cable color scheme.

I don't think these are good all-rounders, I think they are best suited for genres such as classical and jazz. If you are the type that buys phones with different sound signatures for certain music genres, the B2 should compliment your collection but if you want something that does all music genres well, then the B2 won't be it.

Awesome
  • After i bought these earphone i became an analytic fan.
I already had other Brainwavz earphone but they were more popular centered.
These one are simply fantastic i love the details and the crispness of the treble.
The only letdown is the cable that is the only thing that bother me in this fantastic earphone

Amazingly clear
  • One of the best purchases for me. Being an analytical listener, i am hearing sounds with the B2 which i did not knew existed in the tracks. Totally worth the money spent on it.

clear and high definite sound
  • I have just gotten my brainwavz b2. According to my first impression, the sound of this product is amazing, I hear everything in the music clearly even especially background sound of the music. I feel like I have a stage right in front of me and the artist sings the song for me at my home. Phsyically, headphone is nice and sturdy. Overall, this product has good quality. Also, if I have any problem with headphone, I can use 1 year warranty. Thanks to mp4nation for presenting that kind of products.

Clean Sound
  • There are my first buds from Brainwavz. I wanted to buy these for more than a year and I immediately preordered them when they became available in May.

The sound is very-very clear. Great detalis, you can even hear how the guitarist is breathing on classical guitar recording. Soundstage is wide.

The build quality is good. There is almost no microphony at all. I have to say I really the cables. They are soft but no tangling.

Accessories are again awesome. Lots of good stuff in the box. The hard case is very nice, it feels good to hold it. Packaging is beautiful as with all Brainwavz products.

    Issues:
x Lack of bass and there is not much to do about it. If you pump the bass up on the equalizer the sound will be distorted.
x Foam tips: these are very-very good, the best sounding tips. Unfortunately they get used more rapidly than the other. The problem with them is that they got a weird color after a few (6) months of usage after which they look grose :)

Overall, these are some great buds, I mostly like them because of the details. Classical music "rocks" with them.

Best in-ear headphone for me!!!
  • I kind of have a problem with comfortable when it comes to in-ear, and this is why I never use in-ear often. Though, I wish I can meet one that suits my ear, and now I found it!

The great point for me is about I can wear it for many hours without knowing it (use the comply foam tip, though the silicone tip is more comfortable but the sound echo will drop a bit)

Just a small point that I want to mention, the color of comply foam tip may not look as it seem on the website, at first I thought I would get the real red color of comply foam tip, but it is not. It is kind of red-brownish instead, so for the one that really like the red color and looking for it, I suggest that you might be disappointed for the color BUT you will get the great sound anyway, lol!!! So it is your choice, well, if you can find a red in-ear headphone that is as comfortable and great sound as this product, please let me know. :) There are times that we have to compromise thing, and the color I want with the sound I get, I am still happy with the B2!!! :D Thanks MP4Nation for the great product.

One of the best deals available, if you're into raw music
  • Understand that I rate it 5/5 considering its price and sound signature.
The B2 is made for people like me sound-wise: people who want to hear every little aspect of the music. The singer's breath, fingers hitting guitar strings. The signature is analytical, with a mid-treble peak that some people like and some don't, since it can make vocals sound artificial. However it can also work well, it's not necessarily something wrong. The mids are very neutral, very detailed. Timbre, as much as I can tell, is correct on most instruments. The lows are very tight, impact is amazing thanks to the speed and detail, but they do roll-off pretty early - it's really the only flaw I can find, although lots of sub-bass tends to make the sound less revealing.
Nothing I ever heard had this kind of detail, it just brings out everything in songs. Of course if you're into relaxation mode and just want to tune out, this may not be for you, I found it hard to concentrate on working with the B2. Also if you listen to a lot of dubstep/EDM, don't bother with the B2, as the sub-bass plays a huge role there and you'll miss all of that.
Accessories vary from time to time, I got 2 sets of each silicone tip plus 1 set of Comply, a small hard case, an adapter...
