Android MarketPlace Gets Updated With Movies And Books!

It’s all there in the title! Google’s Android MarketPlace, a competing app source to other online marketplaces such as Apple’s app store has been upgraded to now offer video rentals, as well as downloadable books – a warm and welcoming addition for most Android users out there. The new marketplace, updated via OTA will be available for Android version 2.2 (FroYo) and higher. Renting movies from the market place for US users can start from a meager USD$1.99, and will obviously save on internal storage. Plus, with the growing number of Android tablets and their large screens, video watching is becoming all the more popular. The same should be said for reading books… sigh.
