Ainol Releases The NOVO5 – Full Specs Here!

We have received word from Ainol themselves that their 5-inch tablet – the NOVO5 is now officially out and about. We’ve also got it’s full specs and a couple of images of the tablet which has been confirmed to have WiFi! This means no neutered Android! The NOVO5 is one of 4 new Android tablets recently announced by Ainol. To fill the line we’ve also got: The NOVO4, NOVO7 and NOVO8 – each number in the title representing its screen size. OK, let’s get down to business with the NOVO5′s full spec list (after the break)!

The NOVO5 is a 5-inch tablet that is powered by a dual-core Rockchip RK2818 processor that’s clocked at 600MHz and DSP at 550MHz. It runs Android 2.2 FroYo as its OS and its resistive display has a resolution of 800 x 480. It has 256MB of RAM, WiFi connectivity, a G-sensor, external MicroSD card support of up to 32GB and HDMI support of up to 1080p. Media file format support includes: MKV/AVI/WMV/RMVB/TS/TP/MPEG/VOB, etc. for video, MP3/WMA/WAV(APE/FLAC/AAC/OGG), etc. for audio, JPG/BMP/PNG/GIF for images and lastly, TXT/LRC(PDF/EPUB/FB2 for e-book support. It’s extras include an alarm clock, a calculator, a calender, Google Map support, email support and third party game support. Its 1800mAh battery has a video playtime of around 3-4 hours and 7-8 hours for audio. Look wise, the NOVO5 may look like a standard slate but its look works – its simplistic, pearl white design with an uncrowded amount of buttons and ports are all one can really ask for for a portable device. The fact that this also comes in a wonderfully portable size, runs Android 2.2 and has WiFi connectivity makes this RK2818 tablet pretty darn special. Now we wait for its siblings and their spec list.
