BenQ R100 Tablet Expected In Q1 2011
We wrote of the BenQ R100 quite a while ago and since then, little – if anything at all – has been heard from this sleek looking tablet. Now, though, BenQ has released a statement that the BenQ R100 Android 2.2 tablet is scheduled to go on sale in China and Taiwan in Q1 2011. Pricing details have not been released, presumably because the tablet market landscape changes so fast with continued releases and increasing tablet functionality. The R100 is a 10.1-inch tablet (1024×600) and has a resistive touchscreen, which might be much to the chagrin of many a capacitive fan. The previous information we had stated a 667MHz Samsung processor, but that has now been raised to 833MHz which is welcome, to be sure. Also interesting is HDMI output, indicating this tablet will do HD video. BenQ have certainly surprised before, from their monitor releases to their S6 MID. Let’s hope this tablet does so as well.
