SmartQ 5, MID (Mobile Internet DEVICE) : china is heading towards WIFI
Well it had to happen sooner or later and it seems that popular Chinese PMP maker SmartQ will be first off the blocks with a full on WIFI enabled, web browsing Personal Media Player

Now as you can see, this image is nothing but a mock up, but it speaks volumes, basically it says WIFI and mobile web browsing on a Chinese PMP, now all you iPhoners will be wondering whgat all the fuss is about, well it is a big fuss, China has been gaining speed in PMP manufacture and design and this is the next phase
So, not many more details really to talk about here, there is no release date, here is what we know so far
- 4.3-inch 800 × 480 resolution screen
- using full-touch screen operation
- Also has 4 hardware keys on the top of the player
- built-in Bluetooth function
More news will follow as soon as we can get our hands on it, we dont even know the basic multimedia functionality, or indeed if there is any, it may just be a web browser and thats all, well, one step at a time
